What PennyIntel collects
If you create an account, PennyIntel stores your username, email address, hashed password, account creation date, private profile note, followed tickers, alert preferences, and trader notes you post. If you send feedback, PennyIntel stores the message, selected feedback type, optional ticker, optional email, page path, and a hashed IP value for basic spam prevention. Passwords are stored as hashes, not plain text.
Visitor and usage data
PennyIntel stores basic visitor analytics, including page views, selected stock tickers, referrer domain, device size category, scroll depth, outbound source clicks, and rough session duration. This helps understand which stock pages are useful and where the site needs improvement.
PennyIntel does not use this data to show personalized ads. Analytics are stored in site data files and are used to improve the product.
Payments
Donation payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe processes the payment information on its own checkout service. PennyIntel does not store card numbers.
How the data is used
Account data is used to let members sign in, reset passwords, manage watchlists, save alert preferences, post notes, reply, and show usernames on the community board. Feedback is used to fix wrong data, review missing tickers, and improve the site. Visitor data is used to measure site activity. SEC filing data is public market information.
How long data is kept
Account and community data is kept while the account or site remains active, unless removal is requested and legally permitted. Basic visit logs may be rotated or deleted during maintenance.
Your choices
You can request account removal, correction, or a copy of your account data by contacting PennyIntel. Do not post private, sensitive, or personal information in public trader notes.
